OTTAWA, Ontario (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ottawa Folk Festival organizers have announced that legendary folk singer Gordon Lightfoot has been added to the lineup for this year's event. Lightfoot will be performing at the festival on Sunday, September 8 at 8 p.m. on the Raven Law Stage.
“This is a marquee booking—a first for the Ottawa Folk Festival,” says the festival’s artistic director Mark Monahan. “When people think of iconic Canadian acts, Gordon Lightfoot tops the list, not only in Canada, but internationally.”
Also joining this year's lineup is the Vancouver-based garage rock duo The Pack A.D., who've been making a name for themselves in Canadian indie music scene. The Pack A.D. will perform on August 5th, the same evening as Vampire Weekend, to appeal to a more contemporary festival audience.
Folk Fest organizers also revealed that they have added the 'Pick Three Dates for $99' ticket deal, which proved to be quite popular at the RBC Bluesfest. – Staff Writers
