Gov't Mule Celebrates 1,000th Concert At The Warfield


(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Founding Gov't Mule members Warren Haynes (guitar, vocals) and Matt Abts (drums) with now-permanent bandmates Danny Louis (keyboards) and Andy Hess (bass) performed Mule's monumental 1,000th concert on April 16 at the Warfield Theatre in San Francisco. Mule was joined by members of the Grateful Dead — bassist Phil Lesh, drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann guitarist Bob Weir and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti on various tunes. The Meter's Zigaboo Modeliste also guested.

The following night, Gov't Mule celebrated its 1,001st concert at Beverly Hills' Wilshire Theatre, welcoming harp player Hook Herrera for an historic reprise of his appearance at the first-ever Gov't Mule show at Palamino in North Hollywood onMay 12, 1994.
