In a tersely worded statement, CAA says,
"As of today (October 22), Michael Gruber has resigned from CAA. We appreciate Michael's contribution to the agency during his time here. We wish him all the best in his future plans."
Gruber, a film agent, repped George Clooney, Cindy Crawford, Ice Cube and Vanessa Williams. Clooney will now be repped by CAA managing partner Bryan Lourd; Crawford by Steven Leshever, Cube by Kim Hodgert and Williams by Steve Tellez.
Clooney's spokesperson told CelebrityAccess, "Neither George nor I have, or will issue any statement."
Before joining CAA, Gruber was at the William Morris Agency.
