GWAR Announces Major North American Tour

BUFFALO, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — GWAR, the masters of theatrical metal, have announced that they are preparing for "Madness at the Core of Time," a major tour of the U.S. and Canada.

Touring in support of of their new album, Battle Maximus, which is out September 17th on Metal Blade Records, GWAR will kick things off with an October 2nd show at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio and perform at numerous dates across North America before winding down at the 9:30 Club in Washington D.C.

"Battle Maximus" is GWAR's 13th studio album and the first since the sudden passing of bandmate Flattus Maximus in 2011.

Joining GWAR for the tour are label-mate deathcore group Whitechapel, Richmond, VA thrashers Iron Reagan (featuring Municipal Waste singer Tony Foresta) and A Band of Orcs.

GWAR will also be making several short outings this summer, including a series of shows co-headlining with Hatebreed in September and a spate of live headlining dates in August.
