Harley-Davidson Celebrates 100 Years With Concerts, Exhibits


Motorcycle maker Harley-Davidson is celebrating its 100th anniversary with a string
of concerts, including a reunion of the surviving members of the Doors. The tour
also includes motorcycles owned by the rich and famous such as Elvis Presley and
Jon Bon Jovi; a multimedia exhibit on the history of the Harley, motorcycle drill teams
and stunt riders and more.

The first leg of the Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary Open Road Tour is July
19-21 at Atlanta (GA) Motor Speedway. Among the performers for the three-day
event are Bad Company, Blues Traveler, Travis Tritt, Razorbacks, Tim McGraw,
Kenny Wayne Shepherd, the Warren Brothers, Steel Pulse, Joe D'Urso, Ted Nugent,
Journey, Alison Krauss, Indigenous and Stone Caravan.

The second leg runs August 16-18 in Baltimore at the Pimlico Race Course with Bob
Dylan, Billy Idol, Neville Brothers, Ted Nugent, Southside Johnny, Neville Brothers,
D'Urso, Hootie & the Blowfish, the Wailers, Nils Lofgren and others.

The third stop is September 6-8 at California Speedway in Fontana, CA, just outside
Los Angeles, and features the surviving members of the Doors — Ray Manzarek,
Robby Krieger, and John Densmore (health permitting), with The Cult's Ian Astbury
on vocals and a bunch of guest vocalists and musicians. Also performing at this stop
are Los Lobos, Earl Scruggs, Joe D'Urso, Stone Caravan, Stone Temple Pilots,
Nickelback, Default, Billy Idol, Journey, the Doobie Brothers, George Clinton and
Parliament/Funkadelic.

Other tour stops include Toronto (September 27-29), Dallas (October 25-27), Mexico
City (November 22-24), Sydney (March
14-16, 2003), Tokyo (May 16-18, 2003), Barcelona (June 27-29, 2003) and Munich
