HBO Pulls The Plug On 'Vinyl'

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — In a surprise move, premium cable network HBO announced that it was canceling its expensive music industry drama "Vinyl."

The show, which debuted in April of last year, was created by Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese but despite the star power behind it, it failed to find traction with both critics and viewers.

HBO announced in February that they were renewing the series, following a shakeup which saw showrunner Terence Winter replaced by Scott Burns but they apparently have walked that decision back.

“Obviously, this was not an easy decision. We have enormous respect for the creative team and cast for their hard work and passion on this project,” the network said in a statement announcing the show's cancellation.
