Head Automatica Cancels Dates Due Singer's Illness

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —

Head Automatica has canceled a handful of shows due to illness of lead singer Daryl Palumbo, who has suffered from a relapse of Crohn's Disease and is currently taking a few days off of the band's current US tour to recuperate.

"As I sit here in our hotel in Lexington, KY, I can't help but feel terrible for falling ill and canceling some shows," said Palumbo. "I am incredibly sorry for the inconvenience I may have caused, and I promise to see you all soon and make up for the lost time. I appreciate all the kind words and well wishes, but most importantly I appreciate your understanding. We'll all get to rock together soon. I'll see you on the other side."

Although it is uncomfortable and recurring, the disease is not life threatening. Palumbo will spend the next couple of days resting up so the band can once again set out on the road. Head Automatica is scheduled to resume their tour with Finch on July 29 at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. The band recently shot a video for "Beating Heart Baby" in New York City that is currently in rotation on mtvU and Fuse's Oven Fresh.
