Hellfest Moves to New Jersey July 23-25

(CelebrityAccess News Service) — Hellfest, one of the largest hardcore and punk music festivals in North America, has teamed up with Excess dB Entertainment and moved from the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, NY to a larger, more central location in Replex, NJ on July 23-25.

The promoters are booking over 100 hardcore, metal, punk, emo, pop-punk, indie-rock and miscellaneous underground music artists. There will be two main stages and a smaller third stage inside the 200,000-square foot venue located off the New Jersey Turnpike. Tickets are priced at $60 in advance, $70 at the door for the three-day festival or $25 per day.

Hellfest started seven years ago with about 300 people in attendance per day; 2003's Hellfest had roughly 4,500 people per day. The festival has always been drug and alcohol free as well as all ages and has become a who's who for hardcore, metal and rock talent. Hellfest has helped numerous bands break in the Northeast and also has four years' worth of filmed material that has appeared on numerous DVDs. It was the first festival to release an independent DVD to chronicle the event.

Some past performers include Thursday, CKY, Hatebreed, Coheed And Cambria, In Flames, Anti-Flag, Converge, Kittie, The Movielife, The Locust, The Misfits, Bane, The Dillinger Escape Plan, From Autumn To Ashes, Biohazard, The Movielife, Lamb Of God, One Line Drawing, Shai Hulud, Further Seems Forever, Poison The Well, The Bouncing Souls, Stretch Armstrong, Soilwork, Killswitch Engage, Reach The Sky, American Nightmare/Give Up The Ghost, Every Time I Die, Throwdown, Earth Crisis (Final Show), Terror, Most Precious Blood and many more. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
