RALEIGH, NC (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation's House of Blues has signed a long-term lease for one of Raleigh's most significant music venues, The Ritz.
According to The Indy, HoB will operate the 2,300-capacity venue with an eye to staging presenting at least 80 shows a year at the venue.
As a part of their plan, Live Nation is undertaking a major overhaul of the venue worth an estimated $1 million. Included upgrades include a new HVAC system, refurbed interior, including dressing rooms, better sound quality and new, permanent sound and light upgrades.
“It’s an unbelievable room with tons of heritage and history,” Live Nation Charlotte's Grant Lyman, who will oversee bookings at the club told The Indy. “We want to get it back to the place where people want to come and play it.” – Staff Writers
