Home Tops Weekend Box Office

LOS ANGELES,(CelebrityAccess) — The Dreamworks animated alien buddy film topped the box office this past weekend, earning 20 million for distributor 20th Century Fox, according to data compiled by Rentrak.

Rentrak's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "There's no place like 'Home' when it comes to this weekend's box office as the DreamWorks Animation release distributed by Fox added $78 million globally, topping the international chart & leading the charge in its first weekend in North America for a combined worldwide total to date of $102 million. Another PG-rated movie marked a milestone as Disney's hit live-action fairytale 'Cinderella' crossed the $300 million threshold this weekend with an impressive total to date of $336.2 million."
