House of Blues and Playstation 2are back with a 2003 rendition of last year's
successful electronic dance tour. The Dual Play tour will bring electronic dance
music to 17 cities nationwide beginning March 28 in Atlanta.
The 24-date cross-country tour consists of two bi-coastal legs, each
co-headlined by a pair of in-demand DJs including Chicago's Bad Boy Bill (Mix
Connection), Jungle DJ Dieselboy (System Recordings), Dutch trancemaster
Tiesto (Nettwerk America), and progressive house pioneer Noel Sanger
(Nettwerk America). House of Blues is producing and promoting the tour with
Spundae.
The Dual Play tour will bring together videogaming and dance club lifestyles,
as scenes of live club audiences will be projected on screens and blended with
footage from a variety of newly released and soon-to-be released videogame titles
including: Downhill Domination, Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, Amplitude,
Dark Cloud 2 and Primal.
"PlayStation 2 has a history of creating new and innovative ways of blending music and games, and we are continuing this tradition with the launch of the second
Dual Play club tour," Sharon Shapiro, director, promotions, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "This year we are taking Dual Play to a whole new level, by blending the music of the world's best DJs with the vibrant 3D visuals from latest PlayStation 2 games."
All four Dual DJs are booked by talent agency AM in New York.
PlayStation 2 is also providing a unique sweepstakes for fans that visit the
PlayStation.com site. Beginning March 20, fans can register for a chance to win
tickets to a local show featuring Bad Boy Bill and Dieselboy, dinner (at select
locations), a $200 gift certificate at urban fashion boutique Karma Loop, and a
PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system, by logging on to
www.us.playstation.com/dualplay. In April, fans will get the chance to enter to
receive a PlayStation 2 and a trip to the House of Blues in Las Vegas on Memorial
Day weekend to see Tiesto and Noel Sanger. The winner will also receive hotel,
airfare, event tickets and dinner at House of Blues.
