LAS CRUCES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Legendary music figure Barbara Hubbard is set to receive an honorary doctorate at the forthcoming NMSU fall commencement ceremony on Dec. 15th, the La Cruces Sun-News has reported.
Hubbard is the executive director of the American Collegiate Talent Showcase, a non-profit organization that raises scholarships for students aiming for a career in the lively arts.
Hubbard, known to many as "Mother Hubbard" has been a fixture at the campus for nearly half a decade, serving in numerous capacities from physical education instructor to supervising and staging all major productions and special events at the campus.
She has been the recipient of numerous accolades, including but not limited to appearing in Venue Today magazine's "top five women of influence" in the entertainment industry list and being named Performance Magazine's College Promoter of the year 4 times. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
