Ichii Tapped To Head EMI Japan


TOKYO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — San-e Ichii has been named as the new president and CEO of EMI Music Japan commencing on October 1st. Mr. Ichii, who has held senior positions in a number of major global corporations, joins EMI from Warner Music Japan where he was most recently its senior managing director and chief financial officer.

EMI has also said that Masato Adachi will return to EMI Music Japan as director and chief financial officer after a tenure at Nike Japan where he served as CFO.

Mr. Ichii earned an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and has extensive experience across a spectrum of industries, including health care and food. He joined Warner Music Japan in 2002 as the CFO and while there, headed up various departments including finance, operation management and strategic planning before getting the bump to senior managing director and CFO of Warner Music Japan in 2005.
