ICM Acquires Headline Media Management

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Headline Media Management, a boutique focused on representing talent in the broadcast news and sports world.

HMM CEO Lou Oppenheim and President Michael Glantz will join ICM as partners, with Oppenheim helming ICM"s newly minted Broadcasting department. Glantz will oversee the news and programming efforts within that department.

HMM currently represents a roster that includes include Savannah Guthrie, Chris Berman, Wolf Blitzer, Mike Golic, Kevin Harlan, Mike Emrick, John Berman, Tom Jackson, Brad Nessler, Keith Hernandez, Brianna Keilar, Ryan Clark, Eddie Olczyk, Pierre McGuire, and Meredith Vieira.

“Lou and Michael have built an incredibly successful business representing clients at the forefront of sports and news broadcasting. Their client-first approach to representation perfectly aligns with the way we run our company. Lou and Michael are ideal partners and leaders, and we are proud to have them and their clients join us at ICM,” ICM Partners’ Chris Silbermann and Ted Chervin in a joint statement.

The acquisition positions ICM to square off with their rivals in the increasingly competitive arena of media representation while providing HMM with the scale and diversity of services required to continue servicing their clients.

According to the Los Angeles Times, HMM was formally launched in 2004 but existed for decades under different monikers, including Athletes & Artists, Marquee Group and SFX Media Group. Oppenheim joined the firm in 1981, and made partner in 1985, while did stints in various news rooms, including NBC News before he joined IMG, where he represented talent in the sports and news fields. He joined Athletes & Artists in 1990. – Staff Writers
