(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) Idaho State University’s $35 million L.E. and Thelma E. Stephens Performing Arts Center has had its opening pushed back to April 1, 2005, due to construction delays. The original December opening date had already been pushed back to January, but officials felt that was still too unlikely.
The new PAC has been under construction since October 2000, but its largest venue, the 1200-seat Jensen Grand Concert Hall, has not been completed. Other parts of the center are complete and have been in use for some time. The concert hall still needs seating, carpeting and a stage floor.
The school has been anxiously awaiting the concert hall’s opening, as it is expected to host classical, jazz, pop, and folk music, possibly even rock and hip-hop acts for the students. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
