LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The theme of the annual ILMC conference for this year has been announced and for the 20th installment of the popular industry event, the Summer of Love will be the order of the day.
Planned for March 7-9, 2008 at the Royal Garden Hotel in West London, this year's event will be open to delegates only. To be a delegate, you must be nominated by two current delegates, both of whom, must have attended previous conferences on more than one occasion.
New on the agenda for ILMC 20, and as a result of feedback from last year, the conference will be launching the ‘ILMC Production Round Table’ on Thursday 6 March; an initiative led by long-time delegate Chrissy Uerlings. The Round Table will be an afternoon of specialist panels for production managers, tour reps, technical co-ordinators and venue managers. Looking at the need for an international touring “best practice”, and how to go about it, the results will be reported back to the Engine Room session on Saturday.
The conference will also provide free access to attendees at some of the gigs taking place around London during the week as well as a special showcase of some of the hottest Nordic acts, hosted by Music Export Finland, Music Export Norway, Icelandic Music Export & The Danish Rock Council. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
