Ron Zeelens, from RAZco Visas, was informed on Friday by an Information Officer at the Vermont Service Center of the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS), that effective June 1, the adjudication of "O" and "P" petitions will take anywhere between 60 and 90 days. It is currently taking this Center less than 21 days to handle petitions for the entertainment industry.
Futhermore Ron was advised that petitions that require expedited handling would also require a premium fee of $1,000 in addition to the filing fees. Moreover, the INS is presently defining an expedite to mean within a 15-day period.
