LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Over the last few days, we've seen a pair of mysterious "press releases" from Tom Waits, teasing something on August 7th.
The press releases in question had no text and consisted entirely of a pair of images; one showing Waits with an eyepatch and a pirate-esque sword while the other showed Waits underwater near some sharklike submarines, or perhaps submarinelike sharks,; and each with text reading 'Coming August 7.'
While the two photos may be teasing a new tour or album with some sort of nautical theme, it also begs the question of if Waits is organizing a concert cruise. Such ventures are becoming increasingly popular in recent years and cruises set for 2012 include the Rocks Off Cruise, Weezer Cruise, The Rock & Blues Concert Cruise, Shiprocked 2012, Jam Cruise, Rock Legends Cruise II. Even major festival brands such as Coachella are getting in on the action with a pair of S.S. Coachella cruises set for Winter 2012.
