NATCHEZ, Miss. (CelebrityAccess) — Isle of Capri Casinos announced that they are shuttering their casino property in Natchez, Mississippi.
The company also revealed plans to sell its Natchez hotel and other non-gaming assets to the parent company of Magnolia Bluffs Casino, for $11.5 million.
"We are proud of all that we have accomplished together and we thank our team members for their dedication and hard work in the many years we have operated in Natchez," said Virginia McDowell, the Company's president and chief executive officer.
Isle of Capri has owned the dockside Natchez casino property since 2001. The property features 520 slot machines and six table games.
The sale of the hotel is expected to close in October and Isle of Capri says the casino will remain fully operational until then. – Staff writers
