iTunes And Ticketmaster Team Up

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Ticketing behemoth Ticketmaster, and Apple's digital music outlet iTunes, have expanded their music tickets offerings by integrating music sales and ticket purchasing. As a part of their efforts to raise awareness of this initiative, they have announced a new deal allowing fans who purchase tix for a participating artist to get a dollar off of an album purchase from the iTunes music store.

The albums on iTunes will be accessible from links on the Ticketmaster's website.

The happy partners are also offering special Ticketmaster + iTunes gift cards sold exclusively through Target stores in the US. The package includes two 25 dollar gift cards – one redeemable at iTunes, the other at Ticketmaster. Multiple gift cards may be used (and with Ticketmaster you'll probably need them) for the same purchase.

"The ability to connect live and recorded music, concert tickets and album sales is the future of the music business," explained David Marcus, SVP Music, Ticketmaster. "The collaboration between Ticketmaster and iTunes makes it simple for fans to download the latest music from the artists they want to see live. We've now extended the music + concert tickets program we introduced with iTunes earlier this year, and we're thrilled to now offer digital albums integrated with concert ticket sales." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
