Jackie Chan Wins The Weekend Box Office With Kung Fu Yoga


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Jackie Chan lead the weekend's international box office take this weekend as his action adventure comedy "Kung Fu Yoga" took in $51.4 million in 12 international territories and has earned $178.1 million to date.

The Chinese-made fantasy adventure Journey To The West: Demons Strike Back held the #2 spot internationally, earning $35.3 million this weekend and $202 million aggregate in 9 territories followed by the Chinese drama 'Duckweed' with $29.5 million to land in the third spot.

Domestically, M. Night Shyamalan's suspense thriller "Split" continued to perform, holding the #1 spot and adding $14.6 million to its cumulative total. The horror sequel "Rings" took second place, earning an even $13 million, followed by the controversial "Dog's Purpose" which added $10.8 million over the weekend.
