Judge Sends Ferriter Suit Against WME To Arbitration

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A judge has dismissed the suit brought by John Ferriter, formerly the head of reality television at the William Morris Agency against Ari Emanuel and William Morris Endeavor, sending the matter into arbitration.

Ferriter had filed suit against the agency, alleging fraud, defamation and wrongful termination, seeking $25 million in restitution after he was released from his contract post-merger.

Judge Elizabeth A. Grimes of Los Angeles Superior Court dismissed the suit on Monday, sending the case into arbitration but said that she would retain jurisdiction if all outstanding issues were not resolved by the arbitrator.

Ferriter meanwhile, has landed a new gig at sports and entertainment company Octagon. Ferriter will serve in the capacity of managing director in the Athletes & Personalities Division.

Octagon indicated that they expect that Ferriter will help them expand their presence in the entertainment arena. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
