Katt Williams Hit With Probation, Anger Management Classes In Camera Theft Case


LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Comedian Micah 'Katt' Williams will undergo a year of court-mandated anger management classes after pleading no contest to robbery charges stemming from a 2014 incident where prosecutors claim Williams and former Death Row Records exec Marion 'Suge' Knight stole a camera from a photographer.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Williams was also hit with three years of probation after he plead guilty to the charge of second degree robbery. The sentence is a good outcome for Williams, who could have received as much as seven years in prison in the case.

Prosecutors said that Williams and Knight allegedly chased a female chased a female celebrity photographer and snatched her camera outside of a Beverly Hills studio in September 2014, the L.A. Times said.

Knight, who is also facing separate charges for homicide, has plead not guilty to robbery charges in the case.

Williams, 54, has had numerous run ins with the law in recent years, including arrests for possessing a stolen firearm and numerous assault charges.
