(CelebrityAccess News Service) – Ken Dahlman kdahlman@smggr.com has been promoted to director of facilities for the De Vos Place and Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI. His initial duties in his new post include hiring operating staff for De Vos Place and working with the architects and engineers to set up security systems; heating, ventilation and HVAC systems; and lighting systems as well as general building.
Dahlman began his career with SMG in 1994 as
facilities maintenance manager for the Grand Center. His duties expanded to include Van Andel Arena when he began working with its architects and engineers a year before its 1996 opening to set up the necessary building systems and functions. –by Jane Cohen and Bob Grossweiner
