(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa, near Cabazon, has partnered with the West Hollywood-based Key Club to reopen its casino-floor nightclub.
The club, which the tribe had hoped would attract wealthy young customers when it opened a year ago, closed in June after the tribe severed ties with the club’s first owner.
The Key Club at Morongo, as the 20,000-square-foot venue will be called, is scheduled to open New Year’s Eve, with a grand opening planned for January 14th.
The company runs a nightclub on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, and the Plush Lounge & Lagoon in Las Vegas.
The venue will feature bands, including major names similar to The Black Eyed Peas, Everclear and Chick Corea, who have performed at the West Hollywood location. It will also host pool parties at the adjacent outdoor area.
The tribe and the N9NE Group, the club’s previous operator, acrimoniously ended their relationship, after the company felt disappointed with the business it attracted. The Group sued the tribe, but a judge threw the case out in June because of tribal sovereignty.
