PUEBLA, Mexico (CelebrityAccess) — Grammy-award winning Isaiah "Ikey" Owens, keyboardist for bands like Mars Volta, Free Moral Agents and Jack White's backing band has died. He was 38 at the time of his passing.
According to Mexican news source Periodico Digital, Owens was found dead in his hotel room in Puebla, Mexico, where he was on a tour with Jack White.
The initial report said that drugs and alcohol had been found in the room, but a press statement by White's label Third Man Records said that the drugs were only a small amount of marijuana and that the corner determined that Owens died from a heart attack.
The remaining shows of the Jack White Tour in Mexico have been cancelled. – Staff Writers
