Kings Of Leon Drop Two More Dates, Citing Injury

HOLMDEL, NJ (CelebrityAccess) — The Kings of Leon have announced that they have been forced to cancel two additional dates on their Mechanical Bull Tour as drummer Nathan Followill recovers from injuries sustained during an accident with the band's tour bus.

The August 28th show at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ and the August 29th show at First Niagara Pavilion in Pittsburgh, PA have been canceled after a Doctor instructed Followill to continue resting for another week.

"I'm so bummed to have to cancel more shows but I need to be fully recovered before I get back," Followill wrote on Twitter. "So sorry to the fans and thanks for understanding."

The band plans to return to the road on August 31st for a headlining slot at the Budweiser Made in America Festival in Philadelphia, PA.

Followill was injured earlier this month in a tour bus accident en route to their hotel in Boston when a pedestrian jumped in front of the bus, causing it to stop short. Nathan is being treated for broken ribs. The band has already canceled nine shows due to the incident. – Staff Writers
