(CelebrityAccess) — Irish indie rock band Kodaline (formerly known as 21 Demands) announced that they've cancelled all of the upcoming dates for their European tour in order to return to the studio.
A statement on the band’s social media read: “Hey guys so we’re gutted to announce that we’ve decided it’s the right thing to cancel our mainland European tour dates. As you know, we’ve been working harder than ever on our third album and could not be prouder of what we’ve created so far! But we feel there’s more to come.
“We haven’t stopped writing all summer but we need to head back into the studio over the coming months to work on the ideas we have. We feel that it’s worth the wait and hope you guys do too!
“All of the mainland European tour dates will be rescheduled for 2018."
Kodaline's tour included plays in France, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and the Netherlands with shows starting on Tuesday, November 7 and Wednesday, December 6.
The band's UK shows, including the O2 Apollo Manchester, O2 Academy Glasgow, O2 Academy Birmingham and the O2 Academy in Brixton are still on the books at the time of publication.
