On January 27, Koko Taylor fainted due to an attack of high blood
pressure and high blood sugar as a result of her diabetes. She was taken to the
hospital and tested to make sure this was the only problem. The doctors were concerned about Taylor's heart so they checked blood flow and
found blockage in her main heart artery. They then performed an angioplasty and
inserted a steel shunt to open it up.
The doctors anticipate that Taylor will go home within two days and expect a full
recovery.
