NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Gary Overton is departing from EMI Music Publishing Nashville in order to take over as CEO at Sony Music Nashville.
Overton is replacing industry veteran Joe Galante, who announced his retirement from the company on April 14th for undisclosed reasons. Galante also didn't hint at a post-Sony destination.
Overton told the Nashville Business Journal that he will continue to work out of Nashville while at Sony.
Ben Vaughn has been promoted at EMI Nashville to take over for the departing Overton. Prior to his promotion, Vaughhn served as VP of writer and artist development at EMI Nashville. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
