NEW YORK (VIP NEWS) — Lady Gaga has announced the release date of her 'ARTPOP' app and revealed a few details about what it contains.
Gaga's new album will be released through the app on November 11 and, taking to Twitter yesterday afternoon (July 31), the popstar answered questions about what fans can expect from the release.
Chatting with fans for around an hour, Gaga revealed that the app will be available on iTunes and GooglePlay and stated: "The ARTPOP app is free, available in App Stores on your device. You can purchase the music through the ARTPOP app once it's downloaded. Or you can purchase the album at the music store+download the free app separately at the app store." The app, Gaga explained, is "in essence, an interactive jewel case".
Meanwhile, Gaga revealed that the app will be available worldwide and that her fans will be able to socialize via the app on November 11, the day 'ARTPOP' is released. Fans will be able to pre-order the app from August 19, the same day her new single 'Applause' is debuted to the world.
Last week (July 27) Gaga shared the single's title and artwork with her fans. Gaga revealed that she chose the artwork, which features a close-up of her face smeared in paint, to show a more vulnerable side that she doesn't often share with the public.
It was previously rumored the song would be titled 'Applause', after her make-up artist, Tara Savelo, posted a photo of the popstar on her Little Monsters social networking site working on what appeared to be the track's artwork. –According to NME.com
