LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Wendoh Media, a Las Vegas-focused publishing and live events company, announced that it has acquired a 50% stake in the Life Is Beautiful festival.
As a part of the agreement, Wendoh Media co-founder Justin Weniger has been named CEO of the festival. Weniger said the partnership’s goal is expanding the festival and he will collaborate with founders about the event’s creative direction. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded by Rehan Choudhry in 2013, the Life is Beautiful Festival is a three day music and food festival held in downtown Las Vegas. Previous lineups for the event have featured artists such as Imagine Dragons, Kings of Leon, Lionel Richie, and Skrillex. More than 90,000 people attended the event last year.
In a press statement, Wendoh Media co-founder Ryan Doherty said that part of their expansion plans including moving the event's time frame to late September.
"We plan to continue Life is Beautiful's growth, starting by moving the event to late September. Not only is the weather ideal, but it is the midpoint between Labor Day weekend and Halloween. We see this as an opportunity to create another big weekend for Las Vegas through Life is Beautiful," Doherty said.
In addition to their new involvement with the Life is Beautiful festival, Wendoh media also produces a number of lifestyle publications, both in print and online; and produces events such as the Desert Hops International Beer Festival and Wednesdays Downtown. – Staff Writers
