Lebanese Bombings Force Bahrain Concert Cancellation

MANAMA, Bahrain (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A concert by Lebanese superstar Dana Halabi, which was due to take place at Club Seven, in the Mishal Hotel in Bahrain today, has been postponed because organizers were unable to contact her after the string of bombings in Lebanon this week.

Seven Leisure Group general manager Karim Miknas said the concert was postponed after Israeli military attacks across Lebanon resulted in the destruction of runways and the closure of the Rafiq Hariri International Airport in Beirut.

“This is not a celebratory time at all,” Miknas told Bahrain’s Gulf Daily News. “Dana will not be performing in Bahrain at this time…I do not think she would want to leave her family at this time, but I assure fans in Bahrain that we will bring her here for the show as soon as she is available once again.”

Currently one of the hottest rising stars in Lebanon, Halabi climbed the charts rapidly with her hit songs “Inta Meen? (Who Are You?)” and “Bous Alaya (Look At Me).”

Her Bahrain appearance was to be part of a full Middle Eastern tour. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
