General Sports and Entertainment, LLC has entered into a letter of intent with Bill and Nancy Laurie, owners of the St. Louis Blues and the Savvis Center operating lease, to negotiate exclusively with them for the sale of the team and arena lease.
General Sports and Entertainment, a multi-faceted sports and entertainment firm, was founded by Andrew D. Appleby, former senior marketing executive of the Detroit Pistons and Palace Sports and Entertainment. Prior to starting General Sports in 1998, Andy enjoyed a very successful 12-year career with the Pistons and Palace, where he helped to pioneer creative new concepts geared to maximize luxury suites, signage and sponsorship initiatives. Game Plan LLC, a Boston based investment banking firm that specializes in professional sports franchise transactions, is handling the sale for the Lauries.
