NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — While serving his yearlong sentence for attempted criminal possession of a weapon, Lil Wayne has been caught with unauthorized contraband at New York City’s mail jail complex according to Fox News.
During a routine search, an official at the Rikers Island facility found an MP3 charger and headphones wrapped in an aluminum potato chip bag in a garbage can, according to Fox News. A subsequent search of Lil Wayne’s housing area lead to the discovery of an MP3 player in another inmate’s cell.
Officials at Rikers Island are investigating the relationship between the unidentified inmate and Wayne as well as how the items got into the facility. Both inmates will be disciplined though at this time it is unclear how, according to Fox News.
In a Rolling Stone interview prior to Wayne’s sentence, the rapper told the magazine that he planned to keep busy while behind bars, “I’ll have an iPod, and I’ll make sure they keep sending me beats.” –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
