NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Lindsey Buckingham has announced that he's adding a second leg to his current North American tour with additional dates on the East Coast and Midwest, as well as a few dates in Canada.
The new six-week leg kicks off on July 26th in Birmingham, AL and runs until a September 8 performance in Rama, Ontario. Additional dates are in the pipeline as well, we are told.
Buckingham has been performing what is described as an "intimate one-man-show" where he plays a mix of songs from his latest album along with a selection of cuts from previous solo albums and Fleetwood Mac classics.
Buckingham is touring in support of his latest release, "Seeds We Sow" which dropped last September on Mind Kit Records. The release was Buckingham's sixth solo studio album and hit number 6 on the Billboard Rock Album Chart and number 5 on the Billboard Independent Albums Chart, with a single charting at #45 on the Billboard hot 200.
"As I've grown as an artist, I've gotten more and more in touch with my center, and that center is voice and guitar. Over time it has become increasingly vital to express more with less; that is my touchstone now, and the embodiment of that philosophy is what will be largely represented in the new show. I've been thinking of doing this kind of tour for a while, and am quite excited to be doing something new, something outside my comfort zone," Buckingham said.
