Little Big Town Pauses Tour

NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — Pop-country quartet Little Big Town have been forced to cancel a spate of upcoming tour dates, citing health issues for lead singer Jimi Westbrook.

According to a post on the band's website, Little Big Town is canceling all upcoming shows through July 30th while Jimi Westbrook undergoes surgery to remove a polyp from his vocal cord.

“With heavy hearts we want to let you guys know that Jimi will have to undergo surgery next week to remove a polyp on his vocal cord,” they wrote. “As a result, doctors have ordered him to rest his voice and completely recuperate before we continue touring. All shows through July 30th will be cancelled or rescheduled. It breaks our hearts to let you guys down, but Jimi’s health is the most important thing and he is expected to make a full recovery with rest and treatment. We will keep everyone updated on Jimi’s progress. Thanks for your understanding and support," a rep for the band wrote in the post.

As of yet, no word has been announced regarding rescheduled dates. Affected shows include June 26th at the Hard Rock Las Vegas, June 27th at the Sandia Casino in Albuquerque, July 10th at Cove-Harrah's Council Bluffs Casino & Hotel and July 18th at Budweiser Summer Stage in Elmira, New York.

Little Big Town is touring behind the strength of their latest album "Pain Killer" with its first single “Girl Crush,” which just entered its sixth week at No.1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs. – Staff Writers
