ARNOLD’S PARK, IOWA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Little Feat drummer and Iowa native Richie Hayward was officially inducted into the Iowa Rock and Roll Music Association Hall Of Fame on Sunday, September 5. "It was a huge surprise and a great honor to be nominated," said Hayward. "I am pleased to be among the Hall Of Fame inductees."
Due to a show scheduled in Cripple Creek, Colorado on the day of the ceremony, a pre-induction ceremony was arranged at the Historic Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake, Iowa. Hayward's sister, Linda Porth, attended the official ceremony to accept his induction on his behalf.
Currently Hayward and Little Feat are continuing their successful "Barnstormin' Tour 2004" in support of their current studio release, "Kickin' It At The Barn."
