Live Nation Faces More Opposition To Nob Hill Venue

SAN FRANCISCO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A neighborhood group is continuing to resist Live Nation's increased use of the 3,200-seat Nob Hill Masonic Center and this week, filled a cease & desist order to block events at the venue pending an environmental review.

The association contends that a judge ordered operations at the venue to cease until the environmental impact report was completed. The organization has threatened to file a lawsuit if the order is not complied with by Friday.

"They’re almost certainly going to ignore us," David Harmer, vice president of public affairs for the association, told the San Francisco Chronicle. "The City is allowing and encouraging them to be so devious. We feel we’ve got no choice."

The Masonic Temple recieved a permit in January to allow Live Nation to hold 68 live events and 219 large evening events at the venue and according to Matt Prieshoff, chief operating officer for Live Nation, the company is permitted to hold events a the venue. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
