LOUISVILLE, KY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – Live Nation is looking to expand their footprint in the Louisville market with the opening of a new House of Blues in the city.
The 900-seat venue will be located on South Fourth Street in the historic Wright Taylor Building in central Louisville and is expected to be open next in early spring of 2014.
Live Nation is already active in the market but hopes the new HoB will open opportunities for touring artists looking for a more intimate format. The company owns and operates the 2,800-seat Louisville Palace and regularly produces shows at the 22,000-seat KFC Yum! Center.
A number of other properties are being developed in the area as what is being called the Clay Commons district and includes a Hilton Garden Inn, as well as new retail and restaurant offerings, the Louisville Business Journal reported. – Staff Writers
