CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has picked up a pair of new venues in Charlotte – The Fillmore and the Uptown Amphitheatre at the Music Factory.
The newest iteration of the Fillmore will be a 2,000 seat, indoor concert hall, while the new shed has a capacity of up to 5,000, both located in the city's uptown 4th Ward Music Factory. Live Nation expects to host at least 105 events at the new venues, with 80 of said concerts at the new Fillmore location, the Charlotte Business Journal reported.
Live Nation also operates the 18,800 cap. Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in north Charlotte while their primary competitor AEG manages the nearby Time Warner Cable Arena.
