Live U.K. Summit Reveals More Presenters

LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — London is gearing up for the next edition of the LIVE UK Summit, which is set to take place Thursday 17 October at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel in London’s toney West End.

Among new speakers announced for the this year's Summit are international agents Jeff Craft of X-ray Touring and Coda Music’s Alex Hardee, who join Free Trade Agency head Paul Boswell on the Masters of the Universe panel, with others to be announced.

AEG Live’s president of international touring Rob Hallett is the first industry figure to be named for The Music Chamber: Politics & Live Music panel, which will feature politicians including Lord Tim Clement Jones and MPs Mike Weatherley and Kerry McCarthy. Topics to be discussed will include ticket abuse and restrictions on leafleting.

“This session is one of the most popular, because the politicians attending understand the live music industry and appreciate the challenges it faces,” says Summit co-producer Emma Harvey Lawrence. “We’ll be announcing more speakers on this panel shortly.”

Other conference sessions will include The Dynamic Ticket, focusing on the positive side of event ticketing, Fields of Change cover developments in the festival sector and Who Dares Wins on the roles of artiste manager.

Innovations in digital marketing and technology relating to interaction with music fans will feature in several conference sessions, and says Summit co-producer Steve Parker, “As in previous years, we want delegates to contribute to the sessions and share their knowledge and experience.

“This event is very much about how the live music business is evolving.”
