Liz Story Signs With DMI

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Solo pianist Liz Story has signed with Digital Musicworks International, Inc. (DMI). The three-time Grammy nominee will deliver her first album for the world’s first all-digital, full-service music label next spring.

“We’re privileged to be working with Liz Story,” said Mitchell Koulouris, CEO of DMI. “She is an exceptional musician and songwriter who is respected and admired by artists and fans around the world. Her upcoming DMI release is sure to break new ground and we look forward to her taking advantage of the greater creative control afforded by DMI’s business model.”

“I feel genuinely excited about working with the people at DMI,” said Story. “They have an intelligence, enthusiasm and energy that have been missing from the music business for some time. I am also looking forward to working with the digital download format to deliver more when I want to, and how I want to.” She has previously recorded for Windham Hill and RCA Records.

In its first year DMI has signed Dwight Twilley, Seattle-based rock band redlightmusic (fronted by the former guitarist/songwriter of Candlebox) and instrumental jazz guitarist Lino, Swedish electronica artist Bassic (who is one of the most downloaded artists on the Internet), songwriter/vocalist Michael Ware, singer/songwriter Larisa Bryski, and electronica artists Diego Massanti, Silverkinetic, Mike Andrews, Digitalism and FIN. –Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
