LN Requests Dismissal In 'Making The Band' Suit

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has requested that a suit brought against them over an incident that occurred during a 2008 taping of "Making the Band" be dismissed.

The suit, filed in New York Supreme Court on behalf of Kevin Faraday, alleges that Faraday suffered injury at the Hammerstein Ballroom during a taping of the show when a man dashed on stage, grabbed a microphone and hit Faraday in the stomach with it. Faraday has named an impressively long list of defendants in the suit, including MTV, Diddy and Live Nation. Also named in the suit were Danity Kane, Day26, Donnie Klang, Cheri Dennis, Making the Band, Bad Boy Touring, Bad Boy Entertainment, Bad Boy Films, Live Nation Touring, Live Nation Family Entertainment, Manhattan Center Studio, and Manhattan Center New Yorker Group.

Live Nation contends that if Faraday did sustain injury, that it was likely his own fault, but that Diddy, MTV and others named in the suit failed in their obligation to prevent such an occurrence from happening. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
