BUENOS AIRES, Argentina (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Organizers for the Lollapalooza festivals announced that they are expanding into Argentina with a Lolla-branded event in Buenos Aires scheduled for next year.
According to Billboard, the festival will be produced by Lollapalooza Argentina, a partnership between festival founder Perry Farrell, as well as festival co-owner William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, and Austin-based promoter/producer C3 Presents.
As of yet, no announcement has been made about a lineup, a specific venue in Buenos Aires, or any firm dates beyond 2014.
The Buenos Aires event marks the third Lollapalooza-branded event in South America, following the launch of an event in Santiago, Chile, in 2011 and São Paulo, Brazil in 2012. Plans to expand the festival into Tel Aviv, Israel were indefinitely postponed, with organizers citing trouble securing headliners as well as other production challenges. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
