LONDON (VIP NEWS) — North London venue the Luminaire has announced it will close on Dec. 31, 2010.
The 300-capacity venue has featured performances this year from Jonathan Richman, Silver Apples, Warpaint, Dum Dum Girls, Wanda Jackson and Imelda May.
A statement on the venue website notes that it has been operating as "a labor of love for a while now, and at this point it makes no sense for us to continue."
The statement thanks all those who supported the venue since it opened in March 2005.
