Luis Miguel Cancels Shows, Citing Health Issues


MEXICO CITY (CelebrityAccess) — Mexican singer Luis Miguel has announced that he is canceling a series of upcoming concerts to address health issues. The nature of Miguel's malady was not disclosed.

"The singer must complete necessary medical treatments that he initiated in 2015 in order to recuperate completely," read a statement posted to Twitter by Miguel's management. "As the audience knows, during that same year, Luis Miguel also canceled other performances because of health issues that didn't allow him to continue with his concerts."

Affected dates his March 30 – April 3 shows at the El Auditorio Nacional of Mexico City.

The singer previously made headlines in November, after arriving late for a show on his “Dejá Vu Tour” and left after performing for just a few minutes. At the time, his management released a subsequent apology, stating that the 45-year-old singer had to leave the stage because he was feeling ill.

Miguel, often called El Sol de México, is one of the most popular singers in Latin America, peforming a wide range of music, and with more than 100 million album sales to his credit. – Staff Writers
