(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Mad Booking & Events president Laura Valente has announced that the company will be closing down after investors and owners have decided to terminate operations, effective immediately.
"This decision comes on the heels of one of Mad's best years ever with a great season at Dancin' in the District last summer and a variety of other projects that included numerous college and corporate events," said Valente in a statement. “Needless to say, I am disappointed in the decision but have decided to make the best of a difficult situation."
Valente has set up her own company and will be moving forward with Mad’s existing consulting projects, which have included the Atlanta Dogwood Festival, the Atlantis Music Conference & Festival, the Paste Rock N Reel Festival, the Mercury Club and more in the past.
“I am pleased to have developed strong working relationships with several incredible clients and will continue to represent them and provide impeccable service in the areas of talent buying, event management, event marketing and more,” she said in the statement. “My passion is producing great events and I hope that you will continue to support me in my new endeavor.”
