LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Live Nation has announced that Madonna's "Confessions Tour," which wraps up tomorrow night in Tokyo, Japan, is the highests grossing tour by a female artist in history.
The tour, produced by Live Nation's global touring division, The Next Adventure, played 60 shows in all, drawing 1,165,000 fans and grossing $193.7 million.
"Madonna has yet again delivered an incredible show for her fans and the success of the tour is the ultimate statement," said Chairman of Global Music Arthur Fogel in a statement. "She absolutely belongs at number one."
