Majestic Theatre To Go Live

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The historic Majestic Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin, known as Club Majestic, has partnered with Frank Productions to begin showcasing live music. The first show on the books is Australian funk, blues and hip-hop fusion group The Cat Empire with special guest Danielia Cotton on October 1.

The historic theater underwent a large renovation and re-opened as a nightclub in 2003. The space will now be used for more than danceclub purposes, adding reserved seating and VIP options for some shows at the venue. The smaller sized live music facility will fill a void in the downtown Madison area.

“The location is the biggest selling point,” Larry Frank of Frank Productions said in a statement. “We had been looking for a space so that we could continue to bring small club level shows to Madison after the demise of Luther’s Blues…we found a beautiful space with a park ramp across the street and lots of restaurants and bars for patrons to enjoy before or after the show.”

The theater is well-suited for both the patron and the artist, in that the load-in area leads directly from the street level to the stage and there is a large dressing room and back stage area.

Other shows already booked for the venue include New York hard rock group Mindless Self Indulgence on October 16th, The Yellow Umbrella Tour featuring Duncan Sheik, David Poe, Sarah Bettens and Christine Baze to benefit Cervical Cancer awareness on October 26th, and Nikka Costa on October 28. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
